Cream:
- 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
Add:
- 2 eggs
Sift and Add:
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cut 1 lb. orange slices in 4-5 pieces each. Dip scissors in flour to cut. Mix slices in 1/2 c. flour. Add orange slices, 1/2 c. chopped nuts and 1/ c. raw oates to cookie dough. Roll into balls 1 inch in diameter. Mash down with fork on greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 325º oven for 10-12 minutes. You may want to sve some candy to put on the tray with the cookies.
