Directions:- 1 cup white sugar - 1/2 cup brown sugar - 2 eggs - 1 cup butter or margarine (melted) - 1/2 teaspoon of salt - 1 teaspoon of cinnamon - 1 teaspoon of vanilla - 1 cup of nut meats (ground) Mix above ingredients well.
- 3 cups of flour - 1 tablespoon of baking soda
Mix 1 and a 1/2 cups of the flour into the above ingredients using a spoon. The rest of the flour mix in with your hands, sort of knead. Then put about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of flour on the table and put the dough on it. If still too soft, knead a little more flour in. Divide the dough in half and roll it into two long rolls, like jelly rolls. Put dough in refrigerator for at least 6 to 8 hrs. Slice very thin and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. |
