1 smoked ham (boneless)
Turnips
Potatoes
Onion
Water
Pepper to taste

Do Not Add Salt

Add Water and quartered Ham to large stock pot. Boil for 5 minutes. Drain off all water. Refill pot with water and boil. Turn down heat and simmer. Add onion. Continue simmering for 1 hour. Clean and peel turnips and potatoes. Cut potatoes into cubes. Grate turnips with grater (the same side as you would use to make buttermilk and cucumbers.) Add potatoes and turnips to the pot and boil for an additional 20 minutes or until potatoes are cooked.
