1 tbsp oil
1 extra large egg
1 cup Kroger© buttermilk
8-9 oz Martha White® self-rising white cornmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Pour oil into cast iron skillet and place it into the oven. Preheat oven to 400º.

Beat egg and buttermilk together, gradually add cornmeal and stir until pancake batter consistency is reached. Do not over mix.

Remove hot skillet from the oven and pour excess oil into the batter. Lightly blend in the oil and pour batter into the skillet. Place the skillet back into the oven and bake for 25 – 30 minutes until golden.
