1 c raisins
1 c water

1/2 c margarine
1 c sugar
1 egg
2 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
GLAZE
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c evaporated milk(canned)
1/4 c margarine
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 c nuts(chopped your favorite)optional

Directions:
Directions:
Put raisins and water in a pot and boil until dry. Set aside. Mix all the dry ingredients. Beat the margarine, sugar and egg. Add the dry ingredients followed by the raisins.(Mixture is thick) Mix well then put onto a buttered cookie sheet Press down lightly. Bake 350 for 30 min or until is cooked.
GLAZE
Mix all the ingredients into a pot and boil for 3 min then put onto cookies(A simple white sugar icing may be used). Cool for 20 min before cutting into pieces.
