Cookie dough:
1/2 lb. butter, softened
1/3 C canned evaporated milk
2 C flour
Frosting:
1/4 C margarine, softened
3/4 C powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract or vanilla
small amount of water or milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream softened butter, canned milk and flour until blended and chill. Roll out 1/2 of dough at a time and cut with small cookie cutters. Do not roll out too thin. Dip both sides in sugar and place on sprayed cookie sheet. Prick with fork 3 or 4 times. Bake at 375º for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom. Remove immediately from cookie sheet to cool. Frosting: Cream ingredients with small amount of water or milk until smooth. I usually need to add additional powdered sugar. Can add food coloring. Frost generously between 2 cookies.
