1 stick butter
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs (beaten)
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons bourbon
1 cup chopped english walnuts
1 cup chocolate Chips
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 unbaked pie shell (9 5/8”)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and add eggs, sugar, and flour. Mix until smooth. Add in order: bourbon, vanilla, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Pour into unbaked pie shell, put on cookie sheet, and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Serve warm with cool whip or whipped cream.

I think Grandma showed Kate how to make this when Kate was visiting in Texas. It became Kate’s specialty and she’s made these for special occasions ever since. She used black walnuts one time and from feedback received, this was apparently a no-no. 02/03/05
