1 1/4 cup cake flour, sifted Make sure it says CAKE FLOUR-not reg flour
1 1/3 cups sugar
1/2 cup sugar (deep separated)
12 egg whites
1 1/4 tsp cream of tarter
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Strawberries chopped with sugar added to top

preheat oven to 350º

Sift flour with 1/2 cup of the sugar

Beat egg whites with cream of tarter, salt and vanilla at high speed until peeks form.

Gradually add the rest of the sugar.

Fold in the flour mixture, mix with spoon

Pour into ungreased 10 inch tube pan.

Bake 35-40 minutes

Bring out to cool and invert pan on a cooling rack to finish cooling. Cool completely before removing from pan.
