1 C. Brown Sugar
3/4 C. Solid Vegetable Shortening (Crisco)
1/2 C. White Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 C. Water
1 t. Vanilla
3 C. Oatmeal, Old Fashioned or Quick
1 C. Flour
1 t. Sat
1/2 t. Baking Soda
1 C. Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl combine and beat together until creamy - brown sugar, Crisco, and white sugar. Add egg, water and vanilla. Beat well.

Combine separately the oatmeal, flour, salt and baking soda.

Add oatmeal mixture to sugar mixture until combined. Add raisins and mix until evenly distributed in cookie dough.

Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 11-13 minutes, or slightly browned. Remove from sheet and cool on rack.
