- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 egg, separated
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. flour
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 c. finely chopped nuts

Vanilla Filling
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla

Cherry Cordial Cream Hershey Kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter, sugar, egg yolk, milk and vanilla in medium sized bowl until fluffy. Stir together flour, cocoa and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Refrigerate dough at least 1 hour or until firm enough to handle. Heat oven to 350ºF. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. With fork, beat egg white. Dip each ball into egg white; roll in nuts. Place on prepared cookie sheet. Press thumb gently into the centre of each cookie. Bake of 10-12 minutes or until set. Meanwhile, mix ingredients for vanilla filling, and unwrap hershey kisses. Let cookies cool for 5 minutes, then spoon 1/4 tsp vanilla filling into each thumbprint. Gently press a hershey kiss into the thumbprint of each cookie. Let cool completely.
