1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 t ground cloves
1/2 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t ground nutmeg
1/4 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
3 cups chopped pecans
1/2 lb. candied pineapple, chopped
1/2 lb. chopped dates
1/4 lb. candied red cherries, chopped
1/4 lb. candied green cherries, chopped
1/2 c butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c white wine
1 1/2 T milk

Directions:
Combine first 6 ingredients - set aside 1/2 cup of mixture - combine pecans, pineapple, dates and sherries, mix well - dredge fruit mixture in 1/2 cup reserved flour. Cream butter, gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time - beating well - add dry ingredients alternately with wine and milk - beginning and ending with flour mixture - stir in fruit mixture. Drop dough at level teaspoonfuls on greased cooking sheets - bake at 325º - 15 minutes

I may be the only person in the world that loves fruit cake. I also may be the only person in the world that loves the cookies. You can only find the candied cherries during the holidays so at least I make them only 1 time a year.
