1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 heaping tsps of baking powder
1 tsp cream of tarter
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 egg
1/2-3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture size of peas. Mix together milk and egg and add to the flour mixture. Mix to form a soft sticky dough. If too dry add more milk. Add dough to floured board. Form and knead about 10 times. Roll out to a rectangular shape (longer than wide). If any remaining milk mixture, dampen the top of the rolled out dough. Cover with brown sugar, sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in a hot oven at 450ºF for 8 minutes. Do not over bake or cinnamon rolls will be hard and dry.
