2 sticks (1 cup) butter, unsalted
2/3 c sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp ground decaffeinated vanilla black tea leaves
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
With an electric mixer, beat together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in the egg. Add the vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, tea leaves, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined. Wrap the dough in plastic and chill for at least 4 hrs or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 350.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about
1/4 " thick. Using a teapot shaped cookie cutter (or other shape), cut out the cookies and transfer them to an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 mins, til just golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on rack.
Serve the cookies warm with tea, or let them cool completely completely before frosting and decorating.
