Brownie:
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate, finely chopped
1 C. salted butter, melted
2 C. light brown sugar, packed
4 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 C. flour

Cookie Dough:
3/4 C. salted butter, room temperature
3/4 C. light brown sugar, packed
3/4 C. sugar
3 Tbsp. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 C. flour
1 1/2 C. mini chocolate chips
1/2 C. semi-sweet chips and 1 tsp. shortening for drizzle (optional)

Prepare the brownies: Preheat oven to 325º. Spray 9x13 pan. In medium bowl, melt chocolate in microwave in short 30 second bursts. Stir after every time. Remove from microwave when melted and smooth. Set aside to cool slightly. In large bowl, whisk together butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk. Mix in melted chocolate. Whisk in flour and mix just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread batter into pan. Bake 25 - 35 minutes. Watch closely. Remove when toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
Cookie Dough: In medium bowl with electric mixer, combine butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Mix in milk and vanilla. Mix in flour just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread cookie dough over the cooled brownies. Refrigerate until the dough is firm. Use a sharp knife to cut the brownies. you may put each piece in a cupcake paper. Melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips with 1 tsp. shortening in the microwave, stir until smooth. Scoop the melted chocolate into a zip baggie and snip off the corner. Squeeze the bag to drizzle the chocolate on top of each brownie. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top.
