1/2 Cup Shortening
1/4 Cup White Sugar
1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar, Firmly Packed
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
1 Egg, Well Beaten
1 Cup plus 2 Tsp. Sifted All Purpose Flour
1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp. Salt
6 Ounces Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Pecan, Halves or Chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, two sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat. Sift flour, soda and salt and add to the first mixture. Add chocolate chips and pecans. Spoon onto cookie sheet approximately 3 inches apart. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
