4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tarter
1 1/2 c sugar
3/4 c margarine
2 eggs
T tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon extract
1 tsp lemon rind
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp baking powder

Preheat oven 350
Grease 9x13 pan
Sift flour, salt, cream of tarter

In a separate bowl mix sour cream and baking powder

Cream margarine, sugar, add eggs, vanilla and lemon extract and rind.
Add in the sour cream mixture.

Stir in the dry ingredients
Pat into prepared pan. Sprinkle top with sugar and bake for 20-25 min. Until tooth pick comes out of center dry.. Cool and cut into bars.

this is an easy snack, quick to fix and very good with milk, coffee or tea. My husband and son loved them when my son got home from school for a snack. Back in the days when we were farming. 😍
