5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. butter (1 pound)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. water
3 cups walnut pieces
2 large bags or 4 small bags chocolate chips

Directions:

Cream butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and water. Mix in dry ingredients. Add chocolate chips and walnuts.

bake in 350 oven until done 8- 10 minutes

This recipe yields a large quantity of cookies. When Grandma Gaydos made cookies, she made a lot of cookies.

I always remember that she sent (from Lakewood, OH) a tin full of various cookies to our home in West Chester for the holidays.
