2 1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
5 eggs, beaten
5 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. soda
2 1/2 tsp. salt
5 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts.

Directions:

Cream shortening, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs and mix well. Stir dry ingredients in. Mix well. Add chips and nuts. Cover and chill for 1 hour in refrigerator. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
