1 1/3 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
powdered sugar for dusting
12oz jam

Directions:

375º 7 -9 minutes - Preheated oven

Combined flour, baking powder, & salt. Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy add egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture. beat until dough forms a ball. Divide into 2 pieces and wrap with plastic wrap chill for 2 hours. Roll dough on lightly floured surface to 3/16" thickness. Cut dough into shapes with floured cookie cutter. Cookies do spread so use shapes about 1 1/2" in size. You will need 2 cookie cutters one for base and one to cut out center shape. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet until edges are brown. Dust the top of the cut out cookies with powdered sugar. Spread jam on full cookie and top with cut cookie to make sandwich
