1 box cake mix, any flavor (Devil's food, lemon, strawberry, and red velvet have all been tested to great success)
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 stick butter

Preheat oven to 350.

Soften cream cheese and butter, which can be done in short bursts in the microwave, then stir in whole box of dry cake mix until smooth. Roll 1-inch balls of dough and slightly flatten onto cookie sheet. Bake 7-10 minutes. When cool, stick two cookies together with icing or peanut butter and enjoy.

This recipe came from a friend who brought an un-iced version to a holiday party. We froze the leftovers and discovered they're actually edible and quite tasty, fresh from the freezer. Mashing two cookies together with icing just seemed like a fun idea, and it is.
