1 cup white sugar
3/4 cup Crisco
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup Molasses
2 1/2 tsp. Soda
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Ginger
1 tsp. Cloves
2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients. Take about a tsp. full of dough and roll in a ball, roll in white sugar and flatten with a glass or fork.
Bake at 350º until almost done.

Grandma Lee cut down on some of the spices. I think she use to use about 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. of each of the spices.
