1 c. (2 sticks) margarine
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 Tsp. vanilla
1 lg. egg
1/2 Tsp. baking soda
2 c. all purpose flour
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips (2 c.)

Preheat oven 375º.
Beat margarine with sugars in lg. bowl with electric mixer or wooden spoon until smooth. Beat in vanilla, egg and baking soda. Stir in flour until blended. Stir in chips. Drop mixture by heaping Tbsp. 2 inches apart, on greased baking sheets. Bake 10 mins. or until edges are golden. Remove cookies to wire racks and cool completely.
