1 quart beans (16 oz white pea beans)
6 cups of water to cover beans and boil in
1 Tbl. Salt
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 lb. salt pork
1 large onion cut into 1/4s
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 lb. linguica cut into chunks

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans in water with some baking soda overnight. Next morning drain put beans in water and boil until skins burst when you blow on them.
Mix salt, molasses, brown sugar, mustard, and 3-4 cups of water. Put in bean pot and lay salt pork and onions on top of beans- add liquid and cover it. Bake at 300 degrees for 5 -6 hours. Check on it from time to time to make sure that the liquid is not evaporated. Add water when needed.
