10 slices of bread, broken into pieces
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 sm. can Pet Milk
1 c. regular milk (use whole or 2%)
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 - 1 stick of butter

**I always double this recipe.

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Crumble bread in a greased baking dish (11x15 for a double recipe).
Mix both milks and sugar in a sauce pan. Heat to ALMOST boiling, stirring frequently. Pour hot milk mixture over bread and stir well. Stir in vanilla extract. Dot liberally on top with pats of butter. I use a whole stick of butter for a double recipe.
Bake at 400º for 30 minutes. Do not over bake.
