1 c shortening
1 c sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp vanilla
1 c sour milk (add 2 T lemon juice to milk)
5 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Cream shortening and sugar together in a lg bowl.
Add beaten eggs and vanilla to sour milk in a separate bowl.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Add alternatively with the liquid to sugar and shortening mixture.
Chill Thoroughly.
Roll out on a pastry cloth or lightly floured surface to 1/4" thick.
Cut with cookie cutters and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 15 minutes or less.

This is our Christmas Biscuit Cookie recipe. Just roll the dough a little thick and do not over bake to get the biscuit texture.
