Cookies:
½ c. butter
½ c. crisco
2 eggs
1½ c. brown sugar
1 tsp. orange peel
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda

Frosting:
3 c. powdered sugar
4 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. orange peel
orange juice added to spread
Directions:
Directions:
For cookies: Sift flower, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix with other ingredients. Drop on greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake ten minutes at 350 degrees.

Spread frosting on cool cookies
