1/2 c butter (1 stick)
1/2 c shortening (crisco)
1 c creamy peanut butter
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar (packed) (light brown)
2 eggs
2 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 c (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk choc.

Directions:

Heat oven to 375º

In large bowl beat butter, shortening, sugar. In separate bowl mix peanut butter, brown sugar and eggs on medium speed until well blended. Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt.
Add to butter mixture beating until blended. Add chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoon on ungreased cooking sheet. Bake 8-10 min or until set - cool slightly - remove from pan to wire rack
