6-8 potatoes, sliced
1 lg. Onion, sliced
Cubed ham, bacon (cut up) or both...I prefer bacon (1/2 lb)
1 c. Flour
4 - 6 T. Butter (Less if you use bacon)
Approx. 2 1/2 c. Milk (explanation to follow)
Salt
Pepper

Grease a large casserole dish. Layer: potatoes, meat, onion, salt, pepper, sprinkled flour, dotted butter. Layer again, and again, And if you have room...again! Leave some room at the top, though, or you'll have a messy oven! After layering, pour enough milk in, so you can just see it on the surface. Cover with foil and bake for about 1 hour. Remove foil and bake another 1/2 hour or until potatoes are tender.
