2 c. Sugar
1 c. Crisco
3 eggs
1 c. Sour cream w/ 1 T. Baking soda in it
5 - 7 c. Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
Nutmeg to taste
1 lemon rind, zest and juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and Crisco in blender, add remaining ingredients, except flour, blending well. Slowly blend in flour to make a stiff batter, mix well. Chill several hours or overnight. Roll out in small batches on a floured board, keeping remaining batter cold. Bake at 375º about 10-12 minutes, watching closely.

The Christmas cookies we grew up with! Every time I make these, it brings back so many happy memories of creating little masterpieces with Mom and Janet. (Janet's were always prettier, though) :)
