1/2 C butter
1 C sugar
1 egg
2 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla

GLAZE
1 C sifted confectioner's sugar
5 - 6 tsp water
food coloring, as desired

Directions:
Preheat oven 375º

Cream butter and sugar
Blend in egg and vanilla
Sift dry ingredients
Add dry ingredients to wet

Divide dough in 1/2. Chill 1 - 2 hours for easy handling.
Roll dough out on floured counter to 1/8" thick, keep second part in fridge
Cut out using cookie cutters
Place on cookie sheet and bake 8 - 10 minutes
Mix glaze ingredients
Glaze while warm
