1 peck green tomatoes
12 large cucumbers
1 head white cabbage
6 large onions
6 red peppers (omit seeds)
1/2 pt. salt

Syrup:
3 qt. vinegar (not white vinegar)
2 1/2 lb. sugar
2 oz. celery seed
1 oz. mustard seed
cinnamon stick

Directions:
Directions:
Grind tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, onions and green peppers. Mix in salt. Let stand 3 hours Drain and squeeze out juices and add to syrup.

Simmer for 1/2 hour or until it turns glossy and the vegetables are done. Seal in jars.

I don''t use as much of the celery seed and mustard seed as the recipe calls for.
