2 1/4 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
6 tbsp butter
1 large egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup milk

3/4 cup sesame seeds, untoasted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. With a pastry blender, blend in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a small bowl, combine egg, milk and extract. Add gradually to cookie mixture. If dough is too sticky, add additional flour. Remove dough to a lightly floured surface and knead just until smooth. Spread sesame seeds on a large flat plate. Break off a piece of dough the size of a walnut and roll between palms of hands until the size and shape of a finger. Roll each cookie in sesame seeds until fully coated. Flatten slightly and put cookies 1-inch apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake on middle rack for 20-25 minutes or until light golden brown.
