1 c. shortening
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 T. hot water
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 small pkg chocolate chips
1 c. walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, water and vanilla and beat well. Sift flour, soda and salt together and add to mixture. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes or until light brown.
