1 cup persimmon puree
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup butter, at room temperaure
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. each cloves & salt
1 cup raisins 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Combine persimmon puree and baking soda and let stand. (it will thicken) Beat butter & sugar together until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl combine flour,baking powder,cinnamon,nutmeg,cloves, and salt. Combine persimmon puree with butter and sugar mixture. Mix flour mixture slowly with the wet ingredients. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. Make about 3 dozen. Enjoy!!!!!
