Beat egg whites until they form peaks. Boil sugar, corn syrup and water on high for 5 1/2 minutes. Pour syrup in thin stream into egg whites while beating continuously on high. Add vanilla and nuts. Continue beating on high until candy loses its sheen. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper and allow to set. Finished candy should appear dry.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Do NOT attempt to make divinity on a humid day. The candy won't work if the humidity is high. This recipe is courtesy of my grandmother, Marie Davis-Carrouth.
