2 cups raisins
2 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 T. yeast
4-5 cups flour, to make soft dough
3-4 qts canola oil, for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Soak raisins in hot water for 15 minutes, then drain. Warm milk to 100-112 degrees. Pour in mixer bowl. Add butter to milk and allow to melt. Add remaining ingredients & raisins (drained). Beat until smooth & elastic. Let rise until double - approximately 1 hour. Preheat oil to 350 degrees. Dip scoop into hot fat then drop scoops of batter into fryer. Cook for 2 minutes each side or until golden brown. Immediately dip in glaze or granulated sugar.

Glaze: Mix 3 cups powdered sugar with 1/2 cup hot water so sugar dissolves.
