4 squares unsweetened chocolate
2/3 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Melt the chocolate and shortening together. Let that cool slightly, then add the sugar and eggs.

Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the wet mixture. Add the nuts.

Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake for 20 min.
