1 t baking soda
1 3/4 c flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c shortening
1/2 c peanut butter
1 egg
2 t milk
1 t vanilla
chocolate stars or chocolate kisses
Additional granulated sugar for rolling
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients, except candy, in large mixing bowl. Mix on low speed of mixer until dough forms. Shape dough into balls using a round teaspoon for each. Roll balls into granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes. Top each cookie immediately with candy. Press firmly until cookie cracks along edges.
