3/4 c softened butter
1 c sugar
1 egg
1/4 c molassas
2 1/4 c all purpose flour
2 tsp.ground ginger
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
additional sugar neded to roll cookies in

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter in a mixing bowl. Beat in egg and molasses .Combine flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt.
Gradually add to creamed mixture.
Roll into 1/1/2 balls. Roll into a bowl with sugar to coat.
Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes or until puffy and brown. Do not overcook.
Place on wire rack to cool.
