5 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced into rings
1 pkg (9 oz) yellow cake mix
2 T. sugar
1 T. ground cinnamon
1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut apple slices crosswise in half. Please in greased 9 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with dry cake mix.

In small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over cake mix.
Drizzle with butter.
Bake 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
Best served warm.
Can serve with ice cream.

Optional: can add chopped nuts or raisins to the sugar-cinnamon mixture if desired.
