3 lbs. pork bones
2 boxes pearl barley
1 1/4-1 1/2 pkg. steel cut oats
Sugar
Cinnamon
Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Boil meat in water for 2 hours, or until meat is tender. Remove pork and place juices in a large roaster and add oats, barley, sugar, cinnamon and raisins to taste. Bake at 350º until liquid is absorbed.
NOTE: Watch not to use too much oats or it will get pasty.
We like it fried in butter and sprinkled with sugar for breakfast.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
My grandma Schneckloth made this every winter. Some used the hog head to make this rather than pork bones. Bruce's family put maple syrup on it rather than sugar.
