3 28 oz. cans tomato sauce (equal water)
3 28 oz. cans tomato puree (equal water)
3 6 oz. cans tomato paste (double water)
6 to 8 garlic cloves
1 small onion finely chopped
2 tbsp. olive oil
3 to 4 large bay leaves
handful sweet basil
sm handful oregano
2 tsp. ground anise if not adding sausage
1 large pork bone

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil in skillet. In a large pot add all tomato products and water. Bring to a boil, add pork bone and seasonings. Reduce heat to a simmer for 6 to 8 hours (until thickened) stirring often. Do not scrap the sides of the pan when stirring.
Add meat balls or sausage about 2 hours before serving.
