1/2 C. margarine
1/2 C. brown sugar, packed
1/2 C. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 C. flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 C. oatmeal
1/4 C. chopped nuts
gumdrops or orange slices (dip them into flour before cutting them-it keeps them from being so sticky)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together margarine and sugars. Add egg. In separate bowl combine flour, baking powder and soda, oatmeal and cut gumdrops. Add the mixtures together and add nuts. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before dropping on cookie sheet and baking.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
