1 1/2 - 2 cups raisins
1 cup water - cook raisins till water is absorbed.
Cream together 1 1/2 Cup sugar and 1 cup shortening, add 3 eggs beat well. Add 1 t. salt, 1 t. soda, 3 1/2 cups flour.
Directions:

Mix and fold in raisins.
Drop by spoonful into sugar, place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes
