1 c. butter, softened
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 T milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. rolled oats
2 cups chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1 c. shredded coconut
1 c. raisins

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º F.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in milk and vanilla.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt; stir into sugar mixture until well-blended. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, walnuts, coconut and raisins until evenly distributed.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10-12 minutes in preheated oven for a chewy cookie or 14 minutes for a firmer cookie.

Cool for one minute on the cookie sheet and then remove to wire rack. Cool completely and then store in tightly sealed container.
