1 cup butter, softenend
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter, vanilla,and salt in large mixer bowl. Gradually beat in sugar. Add the flour and chocolate chips. Mix well (mixture may be crumbly at first, but will form a dough). Press evenly into a 10 x 15 ungreased jelly roll pan. Bake 25-30 minutes, until lightly brown. Cool completely and then break into irregular pieces!

The longer you cook these the crunchier they are. If you want to cut them into squares instead of breaking them, cut them as soon as the come out of the oven and then let them cool completely on tray before you remove them from the tray.
