1 17 oz. pkg ghirardelli brownie mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter,soft
1 egg

Variations: add 1/2 cup of any or a combination of ingredients: peanut butter candy, any flavor of chocolate chips, nuts or coconut.

Preheat oven to 350º.
Mix all ingredients in bowl until dough forms. It will be thick. Stir in any additional ingredients you may choose.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 11-13 min.

I have found that making cookies with brownie mix is the best of both worlds. You get the amazing taste of brownies with the crispy edge and convenience of cookies.
