4 cups flour
1 tsp. Soda
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch salt
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
raisins, walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla, add eggs.
Add dry ingredients. Mix well.
Roll into rolls, and freeze.
Cut with a sharp knife and bake 10-12 minutes at 350º.
Options: For chocolate ice box cookies, replace 1 cup flour with 1 cup of cocoa. Add small chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
Grace's tip: Use the shell of a foil box to shape cookies, lining it with wax paper and pressing dough inside, before freezing.
