Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 pkg dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
2 cups scalded milk
1/2 cup shortening
7 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup mashed potatoes
2 eggs slightly beaten
2 tsp salt
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast in warm water for 10 minutes. Pour hot milk over shortening, when warm stir in 4 cups flour, sugar, potatoes, eggs, salt and yeast. Stir in raisins, and 1 cup flour. Add remaining flour to make a soft dough. Let double in size, roll out, spread with butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up and cut. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Let double in size. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or slightly brown. Frosting while warm. Makes 2 to 2 1/2 dozen.

Note: Grandma steamed her raisins a little to make them soft. She also cut the dough in half and rolled out each one individually instead of the entire thing at once.
