1/2 lb. oleo
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. salt
1 t. soda
1 t. baking powder
5 c. flour (or enough to make a soft dough)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and oleo; add eggs and beat well. Dissolve soda in sour cream and add along with vanilla. Sift flour, salt and baking powder and add. Do not stir too long. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight or for several hours.
Roll out to approximately 3/8" thick; sprinkle with sugar and roll again lightly. Cut with large biscuit cutter (2" to 3" in diameter) and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.
If baking 2 trays at a time, bake 14 minutes, 7 on top rack and 7 on bottom rack. When cool, may be frozen. Keeps well.
